Recently, however, an Indonesian citizen praised Malaysian drivers for being far more courteous compared to drivers in his own country.

In a post, the man shared his experience while travelling in Malaysia.

“A little story from my road trip in Malaysia recently. The driving style in Malaysia is very different from here. Almost all the cars move in an orderly manner,” he said.

He further highlighted that most Malaysian drivers avoid being lane hoggers in the right lane, a common issue in many countries.

Additionally, he admired the patience of Malaysian drivers who refrained from overtaking when stuck behind slow-moving lorries on double-lined roads.

What impressed him even more was how Malaysian drivers did not take advantage of clear opposing lanes to overtake, even when no vehicles were coming from the other direction.

This experience demonstrates that courteous driving behaviour can create a better driving experience for everyone. Hopefully, this praise will inspire us all to maintain positive driving habits on the road.
