Recently a video went viral of a woman who shared how she received a bouquet of flowers from a stranger when she was walking in KL, and she was told that “Malaysian girls get flowers from strangers at least once a week.”
“Malaysian girls are so lucky!” her caption reads.
The woman, known on TikTok as Andrea moved to Kuala Lumpur just a week ago shared that she was just walking around the city when a man approached her with a bouquet of flowers: “He told me this is what happens to most of the girls in Kuala Lumpur.
“They receive a bouquet of flowers at least once a week from strangers. And I think that this is really beautiful,” she said in the video.
The video has since garnered over 255,000 views at the time of writing.
Malaysians were confused and decided to tell her the truth, “That’s not true! Please be careful in trusting some of these men. And welcome to Malaysia!” one person said.
“Are we in the same Malaysia? Because I’ve never gotten any flowers from a stranger, ever! He was lying to you, please be careful”
“This is what we call ‘ada udang di sebalik batu’ (there is a hidden motive behind an act), so don’t believe him and stay safe,” another person said.
Ladies, please be careful when you’re out and about in the city, especially when you’re alone!
