The app’s social media team didn’t miss the chance to add a touch of humour, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “Oh, so NOW you’re learning Mandarin.”
The move to RedNote has also driven an increase in app downloads across the board. Data from Appfigures revealed a 36% rise in Duolingo downloads in the US, reflecting the growing interest in understanding and navigating Chinese platforms.
This spike in interest suggests that users may have tested various Chinese apps before settling on RedNote as their preferred alternative.
