Aiyo, please don’t be selfish!
Most people think “disabled parking abuse” only occurs when a vehicle parks at disabled parking bays.
However, people don’t realize that an equally important and common type of violation is “blocking” or obstructing architectural improvement designed to aid people with disabilities, which includes ramps, curb cuts and access pathways.

A video recently went viral on TikTok of a car that was parked on a wheelchair ramp which sparked anger among netizens online.
The video, which was shared by user Intan, shows the red car parked on a wheelchair ramp, preventing an elderly man and a baby in a stroller from getting off the pavement. Aiyo, so kesian!
It is believed that the video was taken at a MRT station in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
In the video, a sign saying “For Disabled People Only” can clearly be seen above the vehicle, “It’s true what people say, the most valuable organ IS the brain because some people rarely use it,” she wrote.
She also said that they waited in the heat for the vehicle owner to show up to move his car, but after a while, she decided to use another way to get her father onto the road, which was far away from the ramp.
“The driver arrived after we were already on the road. He didn’t even apologize for causing this trouble,” she added.
Malaysians were enraged and took to the comment section to share their frustration, “That is clearly not a parking spot. The driver is just selfish.”
