Delivery Man Walks 7 KM To Deliver Customer’s Orders, Gets Surprised With New Bike!

A video of a food deliveryman walking 7 km from Gaya Street to a hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to deliver his customer’s orders has since gone viral online.

In the video, shared by user @neverpermanent shows a delivery man , believed to be walking to the location of his customer, “I feel bad that he had to walk so far. He kept apologising for being late,” the caption reads.

The video has since garnered over 11,400 views at the time of writing. 

After the video went viral, Adrian Edy, a well-known activist went out of his way to find the man and surprise him with a brand new bicycle! 

In his Instagram post, Adrian explained that his followers have been tagging him in the TikTok video, pleading him to help the man. 

“He walked to a hotel in Kota Kinabalu last week to deliver an order. The customer was surprised that he had walked 7 KM,” he said. Adrian also shared that the delivery man, who goes by Khai, had been saving for months to buy himself a bicycle. 

“Because he comes from a poor family, he is willing to travel all this way to earn a living. He would send money to her mother once a week.

“He’d work every day from 8 am to 9 pm, however, the orders weren’t consistent. He doesn’t always get orders because he delivers by foot, so he can’t go to faraway locations,” he wrote.

The delivery man is seen crying after he received his gift. He said that meeting Adrian in person and receiving a gift from him has been very special.
