In her latest Instagram update, Lee Ji Young of the iconic Korean vocal group Big Mama shared a delightful encounter with BTS’s V during a festival in Chuncheon city.

The event, held on June 9, celebrated Korea’s “Month of Patriots and Veterans” and featured performances to honour veterans. June in Korea is dedicated to appreciating and remembering patriots and veterans, with Memorial Day on June 6 commemorating the sacrifices of fallen heroes. Established on June 25, 1956, Memorial Day includes a moment of silence at 10 AM, with a siren sounding and the national flag flown at half-mast in tribute.
During her performance, Lee Ji Young did not initially recognize V. However, she soon realised that the handsome gentleman who greeted her was indeed the BTS member, even more striking in his uniform.
“After performing at the festival in Chuncheon, I was greeted by a very handsome soldier on my way down from the stage. Soon, I realised it was hoobae BTS’s V. I’ve seen how fascinating he is on stage, but I had no idea what a gentleman he is off stage.
“He’s even cooler in uniform. I was so flustered that I forgot to take a picture with him, but thank you @kuang_725 for grabbing this video of us. Wishing you a safe and healthy completion of service and looking forward to seeing you back on stage, too!” Lee Ji Young said in her post.
The video, along with other sightings from festival attendees, quickly spread online, sparking excitement among fans, “OMG. A friend of mine saw Taehyung-ie today and sent me this!”
