Netflix's live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender hit screens on February 22, 2024, and it's been a constant buzz on social media, thanks in part to its beloved cast.
One standout star is Dallas James Liu, who brought Prince Zuko to life. Not only has Liu won hearts with his portrayal, but he's also captured attention for his love of K-Pop—something many of us can relate to!
In a delightful revelation, Dallas Liu shared how he and co-star Ian Ousley spent their weekends indulging in K-Pop music videos, with BTS reigning high on their playlist. But Liu didn't stop there; he introduced Ousley to a plethora of girl groups, from NewJeans to LE SSERAFIM, BLACKPINK, and TWICE.
Now firmly entrenched in the ARMY fandom, Liu recently spilled the beans on his favorite BTS members and songs. During an interview on the Red Carpet at PALEYFEST LA on April 14, he couldn't contain his excitement when asked about his bias. Liu confessed his admiration for both Jungkook and V, particularly praising V's solo releases.
"I think Jungkook is doing a really good job with the performances, but I really enjoy listening to V's music on my own," Liu revealed.
Proving his bona fide ARMY credentials, Liu was pressed to name his favourite BTS song. Rather than opting for a mainstream hit or recent release, he chose "Just One Day" from the group's 2014 album, Skool Luv Affair.
With his genuine enthusiasm for K-Pop and BTS, Dallas James Liu has endeared himself not only to fans of Avatar but also to the vast ARMY community.
Here's hoping his passion leads him to meet his idols soon!
