If you’re the type that complains when the table of the restaurant you’re at is sticky or if you found a strand of hair (that’s probably yours) in your drink…well, be prepared for your worst nightmare! *cue intense music*

A Thai restaurant in Bukit Katil, Malacca has been ordered to close their doors and was made to pay a compound of RM1,300 by the Ministry of Health for its filthy and utterly disgusting condition.

To make matters worse, the restaurant was given 4 compound notices, one of which was due to the fact that their workers had not been given the compulsory typhoid vaccination for all Food and Beverages (F&B) handlers under the Malaysian Food Act 1983 and Food Hygiene Regulation 2009.

According to state’s Health and Anti-Drug Exco, Low Chee Leong, the 4-hour investigation was prompted after posts about the filthy restaurant went viral on social media and boy, were netizens angry!

The state’s health department issued 1,146 compound notices and inspected 4,485 food and beverage outlets around the state during its inspection period. This restaurant in question was ordered to do a full cleanup with inspections after, before they can start operating again.
