Do you have a friend who “latah”?
Latah is defined as a psychological condition, observed in Malaysian cultures in which an individual, after experiencing a shock, becomes anxious and suggestible, often imitating the actions of another person.
For someone who has it, they are often the subject of teasing from friends and family because of their funny and spontaneous actions.
