This Thumbprint Painting Of Malaysia’s Founding Fathers Will Blow Your Mind!

From afar, it looks just like a normal painting, but if you look closer, you’ll see the thumbprints that make up the amazing portraits of Malaysia’s founding fathers.

Artist, Ng Suet Yuan completed the portrait of Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia’s father of independence using ...you guessed it, her thumb!

She has also completed two other thumbprint portraits of the two most prominent Malaysian figures who played an important role in attaining Malaysia’s independence in 1957 - the late Tun Tan Cheng Lock and the late Tun VT Sambanthan. 

According to the Malay Mail, the 28-year-old said that it was her first time trying out the thumbprint portrait with Malaysia’s first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman: “A thumbprint is the most important identity of a person and is unique to each person, which also symbolises the unique multicultural identity in Malaysia.”

“Our founding fathers, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Tun VT Sambanthan were the important figures in the forming of our country’s independence,” she added.

Ng shared the process of making the portrait in a YouTube video and has since gained a lot of attention online for her amazing skill. 

“I only used three colours - red, yellow, and black, as they signify the diversity of races here in our country,” she added.
