This Lamborghini Owner Who Gifted A Single Mother A Myvi Has Restored Our Faith In Humanity

It’s not easy to put ourselves in other people’s shoes but this man proves that the world can be a better place when people are understanding and compassionate to one another.

When a Lamborghini owned by Thomas Heng was involved in an accident, he not only resolved the issue in a kind manner but also generously 'gifted' a Myvi to the single mother whose car was badly damaged from the accident.

Thomas was not the one driving the car- his luxury vehicle was driven by one of his business partners who wanted to go out to buy groceries.

When he arrived at the location of the accident at Section 17, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Thomas was told that his friend could not avoid the vehicle in front of him which suddenly changed lanes without warning.

“As a result of this accident, the front and right side of my Lamborghini were dented while the Viva was completely destroyed,” he told Berita Harian.

"The case was settled without a fight, and both parties filed a police report for the insurance claim process, but for the woman’s car that was destroyed completely, the process will take time. I also found that her Viva's insurance claim is very low," he added

Thomas, who also owned a vehicle ‘wrapping’ shop, said that he was sympathetic and concerned about the difficulties the woman will face without her car, so he kindly offered a used vehicle for her everyday use.

“I was touched when I learned that the woman was a single mother of three and that she was worried about losing her source of income. I decided to buy her a used Myvi to facilitate her with deliveries for her online business”

Thomas’s charitable deeds went viral across social media after the story was shared by his friend, Azman Nor, on Facebook on April 9, with many praising him for his kindness and generosity

According to Thomas, this has never been about money, but about how he can help with his own capacity.

“This is not the question of money, but about what I can do to make things easier and to reduce the burden on her. Most importantly, we don’t need to fight over everything. We can resolve issues in a calm and kind manner,” he said

In order to ensure transparency, both parties had come to an agreement to prevent any unwanted events such as this in the future. Thomas also made it clear in the agreement that he willingly bought the Myvi for the woman without expecting any payment.

"In fact, I will not claim for any damages including the insurance claim money from Viva's destruction. The woman may use the full amount of the money however she pleases," he said.

According to him, the transferring of ownership of the car will be managed after the completion of the Movement Control Order (CPP). In fact, Thomas will also be helping to promote her online business by sending the Myvi to the ad design place.

"It may not be much, but I hope the Myvi can be a replacement for the defective Viva so that she can continue to look for a common source of income to raise her children," he said.

This story warms our hearts. Thank you, Thomas for restoring our faith in humanity.
