When you can’t celebrate Hari Raya with your friends in real-life, you celebrate Hari Raya with your friends GTA style!
Not too long ago, a group of Malaysian gamers figured out an alternative way of attending a wedding during the Movement Control Order (MCO), by creating a virtual kenduri Malaysian Wedding, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V edition in the video game, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V.
Now, they are back with a virtual Hari Raya Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V edition!
The gamers (as their GTA characters) drove back to their kampung together. The kampung house looks exactly like a traditional kampung house and it is even decorated with lampu pelita. We’re impressed!

After arriving at the kampung, the gamers then headed into the house, and sat together in front of the TV to listen to the Raya announcement. They then proceeded to play fireworks outside afterwards.

Later that evening, they gathered together for takbir Raya, which was streamed live on a TV channel in the game, and there was even a man in a Malaysian police uniform who joined them for takbir.

After that, the gamers showered each other with Selamat Hari Raya wishes which is both funny and heartwarming. You have to check it out yourself!
The video then ended with them taking a group Raya photo together in front of their kampung house that ended up on the front page of an in-game newspaper.
Well, at least we’re still able to celebrate Hari Raya this year, even if it is virtually. Take care, stay safe, and stay at home, everyone!
