We don’t know anyone who could get more creative than this!
Local university, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Kedah has just built an on-the-move prayer room and we are super impressed!

According to Harian Metro, this bold and innovative idea of a portable surau first came about as a solution to the number of students that would crowd surau(s) at the university especially during prayer hours.
They remodeled an old bus into a surau and named it ‘Musolla on Wheels’.
Director of SAC, Roslina Abdullah said “the surau that we do have cannot accommodate the number of students all at once, and some of them had to go back to their dorms to pray before coming back to classes. Aware of the issue, Pusat Penginapan Pelajar (SAC) decided to work with Syarikat Bas Unic (University’s Bus Company) to make this happen”
This bus, which has been remodeled with prayer spots, can accommodate around 15-17 students.

The Musolla on Wheels also comes complete with public facilities such as a water tank, a wudu’ pipe, air conditioning, slippers and prayer mats for the students to use.
The on-the-move surau is open from 12.30 pm until 6.00 pm every day, although it is only available for males at the moment.
The surau has since received great feedback from students and has been very useful for those who have classes.
