This Fast-Food Restaurant Pleaded To Customers To Not Scold Their Staff For Following SOPs

We’ve all been through it, and we agree, it’s silly to be separated from your own family members because of the SOPs. 

But, we also need to remember that the SOPs are necessary to curb the spread of COVID-19, and we, as responsible citizens, are responsible to follow the rules.

Homegrown brand, myBurgerLab in a recent Facebook post, lashed out at some of their customers for scolding their staff for sticking to safety guidelines during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

The post which is signed off by myBurgerLab co-founder Ren Yi Chin said: “In recent weeks, our Geeks has been scolded and yelled at for adhering to a tight SOP especially when it comes to large groups (families and friends) sitting together on the same table without social distancing. Many times, we’ve been accused of being uneducated, misinformed, stubborn and illogical.”

He added that they do agree that if a family that stays and travels together should be able to dine in together, however, the rule of law does not exempt that when it comes to making the restaurant accountable for breaching the rules.

“Under the same logic, Golden Screen Cinemas should allow families to sit together, right? #HelloCannot,” reads the post.

myBurgerLab also pleaded that customers be more considerate to their staff who are following the SOPs implemented by the government.

The post has since garnered many comments, and netizens mostly praised the fast-food restaurant for sticking to the SOPs.
