Faceapp made a return to social media over the past month, this time with people posting pictures of themselves as the opposite gender.

But this roti canai seller in Temerloh, Pahang made waves because Malaysians believed he was a carbon copy of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

44-year-old Syaiful Afenddi Ismail innocently posted the photo for fun, but he of course had no idea it would send Malaysians into a frenzy.

Since posting the photo on Tuesday, Syaiful says he has had an influx of friend requests, especially from women.

But after realising he was getting clout after unintentionally deceiving people, Syaiful has come out to say he’s sorry, especially to the women who in the end found out the pictures were edited.

Syaiful also admitted that he did get an earful from his wife for posting the photo, although he genuinely didn’t expect his face to sync so well with Shah Rukh Khan’s!
