Netizens Band Together To Support A Girl Who Was Sad That Her Father's Restaurant Did Not Have Any Customers

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many of us and sometimes it can be very worrying.

One girl expressed her concern on Twitter (@sachiyzmeen) after seeing the condition of her father’s restaurant which has not gotten any customers since the holy month of Ramadan started.

According to Yzmeen, her father has been running the restaurant since August last year located in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

“In the first week of Ramadan, my father’s restaurant did not have any customers coming. Sometimes there are around one or two people coming here to break their fast.

“One time, we did not have any customers for two days straight. Imagine a quiet restaurant from 5pm to 10pm,” she told mStar.

The 20-year-old said that she wasn’t sure why her father’s restaurant did not get any customers even after they made paid advertisements on Facebook and even distributed flyers about the restaurant.

What’s even more worrying is that her 52-year-old father prefers to hide his grief at home or at the restaurant when he is alone.

“One day, my father was just staring into space and asked me, ‘How are we going to continue this?’ which made me express my worries on my Twitter account, in hopes that someone would see the post and maybe come to have dinner at our restaurant,” she added.

Her tweet has since garnered over 20,000 retweets, which she did not expect, while many netizens flooded her comment section with kind comments and support for her and her father.

After her tweet went viral, many people started making reservations at her father’s restaurant and even had several days fully booked with customers.

We’re glad that everything turned out great for Yzmeen and her father!
