A cooking website called Nyonya Cooking posted a recipe on how to make Roti Canai. But Malaysians were more interested in the name the website used to make the dish sound more “interesting” — the ‘Asian Flat Croissant’.
Roti Canai? Westernised? That’s a recipe for disaster. And Malaysians were more than prepared to cook up a storm of hilarious comments!

And then news of the post travelled to Twitter-land.
Singaporeans were also “offended” with the post and claimed it’s called Roti Prata in their country.
