We might not want to address our online shopping obsession during this Movement Control Order (MCO), but Pos Malaysia Berhad just caught us red-handed!
Recently, a video was circulated online showing the Pos Malaysia Berhad headquarters with thousands of bags full of our mails and parcels.
The tweet posted by user Lady Boss had more than 21 thousand retweets. She wrote, “For those who are wondering why they haven’t received their parcels, please watch this video. This is the reason a lot of parcels are stuck. Hopefully, all sellers and buyers can be patient”
While this video was alarming enough, what’s more shocking is the reply from Pos Malaysia Berhad themselves. They responded to the video by revealing that they receive an average 600,000 parcels daily during the MCO period!
“Dear customers, Pos Malaysia receives on average 600,000 parcels daily during the MCO period. Our staff is committed to ensuring that all parcels are delivered to the recipient.”
“However, our operating hours are subject to the MCO's guidelines and compliance. We do our best to ship your goods and we hope you can be patient. Your cooperation is appreciated,” wrote Pos Malaysia Berhad.
Many have reacted to the revelation by thanking our national courier for their endless service, especially during the MCO.
Pos Malaysia Berhad has also responded to those who have asked for part-time jobs working for them by advertising their rider position to those who are searching for extra income during the MCO.
We are still shocked at how much Malaysians are shopping online during the MCO, but for now, we’ll just wait patiently for our items to be delivered.
