According to BERNAMA, the state police chief Datuk Rohaimi Md Isa said that the drones, equipped with temperature scanning technology, could detect body temperature in a group of people at a range of 20m from above.
Ha, so goodbye to those boring electronic thermometers that we’ve been using!
The drones were loaned from a private company to detect body temperatures and it can definitely sense if you’re hot.

“We have 157 SOP monitoring teams, and they move from one location to another. This makes it impossible for them to monitor every location at once, including detecting symptomatic individuals from public places,” he said.
He also added that the drones help to take the load off police personnel tasked to take body temperatures manually.
Wah, so cool, right?
