Seputeh MP Teresa Kok recently shared a breaking story on Facebook about Latif, who is a 13-year-old paralysed teen.
Latif has been paralysed since he was 9-months-old, and has been having seizures ever since.

He also has trouble swallowing hard food and is only able to drink a special milk formula.
Since the pandemic, his family has been struggling to afford Latif’s medical expenses, since he also needs diapers and goes for monthly checkups at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
His family lives in a People’s Housing Project (PPR).
His father works as a contractor while his mother is a contract cleaner under the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), and with the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO), his parents have been severely affected and are struggling to afford his expenses.
Touched by their story, YB Teresa gifted Latif a new wheelchair after his special wheelchair was stolen a year ago.
The Seputeh MP also bought them some supplies which met the teen’s specific needs like some diapers and his special milk formula.
“When I got to Latif’s house, he was lying on the mattress on the floor, but he was happy to see me. I told him that I brought him some milk and diapers. He smiled at me in return,” she said in the caption.

She also brought a food basket for the family.
Latif’s parents were brought to tears when they saw the special wheelchair as they had been trying to get a new one for Latif for the past year.
We’re glad that the family got the help they needed, and that Latif now has a new wheelchair! Thank you for helping them YB Teresa!
