Wearing a face mask when you’re out in public has been mandatory since the beginning of the pandemic.
A Facebook post shared by Sas Barakah showed a senior citizen who went to the Parit Public Market in Perak without wearing a face mask.
A police officer who was patrolling the area approached the mak cik and many thought that he would file a summon against her. But to everyone’s surprise, the officer only wanted to help the mak cik put on a face mask.

The abang polis even reminded the mak cik to always take care of herself due to the current situation.
Netizens online praised the officer’s act of kindness and thanked him for not issuing a fine to the mak cik.
Yes, it is wrong to not follow the rules, but old people forget sometimes. We need to be more empathetic and understanding towards our elders, and also be helpful and considerate like the abang polis.
Remember to always jaga each other and also take care of yourself and the people around you.
