Man Works Part-Time As Road Cleaner To Feed Stray Cats

How many of us would go to the extent of working a part-time job just so we could use the extra money to help others?

Well, a 43-year-old man from Rawang named Mohammad Azhar Alias is truly an inspiration in this case!

According to Harian Metro, Azhar or Azhar Rawang Sejati on Facebook, has been working part-time as a cleaner since June and he uses the money he earns to buy food for stray cats.

Azhar used to work as a human resources executive in 2005 but resigned to start a cake baking business with his wife.

However, the cake business didn’t bring in enough money so he decided to take up a part-time job as a cleaner.

“The money I earn from the business used to help me buy everything my 18 cats at home need, and extra food for strays I find in the streets. But, because the business has been quite slow lately, I decided to work as a cleaner with the hopes that it’ll help me buy more cat food, especially for those left un-cared for around highway rest areas”,  he said.

He spends RM1,500 a month to buy 3.5 kilograms of cat food a day and travels up to 30km to feed cats at different locations.

In his Facebook post, he wrote: “Although I have a fever, I still had to visit this highway rest area to leave some food and water for the cats, which is 30km away from my house.”

This man is a Godsent! Thank you, Azhar!
