Malls Appear To Be Crowded With People, Despite The Implementation Of The CMCO

The announcement of the conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) has led people to believe that they are allowed to go out whenever they want and do whatever they want, which led to many malls in KL and Johor to be crowded with people.

It’s been well over two months that most of us have been locked up inside our homes, which made us all eager to go out and resume our normal lives once the MCO was relaxed.

A photo was taken at a shopping mall in Taman Desa Tebrau, Johor Bahru, of people forming long lines at a parking lot, waiting for their turn to get inside.

The photo recently went viral on social media which angered many netizens who feel like this will result in another new cluster of shopping malls.

One person claimed to be at the place of the incident around 2.30 pm said: “It surprised me that people are not practicing social distancing while waiting for their turn to get their temperatures checked. There were also no lines on the floor to guide customers.”

Berita Harian reported that the operations manager said that their staff of said mall will step up their security measures immediately and that all the staff and security guards have all been ordered to heighten security at the entrance of the mall to make sure that customers follow the SOPs implemented by the government.

Just stay at home, guys, go out only when necessary or if your life depended on it!
