She said in her post: “Many Malaysian parents are currently working in Singapore, and since the implementation of the MCO, they aren’t allowed to go home, and were forced to be apart from their children.”
“We’ve helped around 8 families and 9 children to leave the country while following SOPs with permission from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) and Immigration Department of Malaysia,” she added.
Liow also thanked the authorities for helping the children to carry their luggage and allowing the clearance process to go smoothly, as it’s impossible for young children to go through security clearance themselves.

The children’s ages ranged from six months to four years old.
According to Liow, one family even had to watch their baby grow up virtually as both parents were called back to work in Singapore three days after 6-month-old Xinshan was born.
“This is not an easy job. But I am happy seeing parents happy when they are reunited with their children. I thank the ICA and the Immigration Department of Malaysia, especially the officers who helped with the process. May everyone be healthy, always,” said Liow.
