Over the weekend, a video went viral of a Volvo SUV crashing head-on into a Perodua Myvi after driving against traffic at Jalan Klang Lama (Old Klang Road).

Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS shared the 3-minute long video on their Facebook page on Saturday (5 September), showing the driver of the Volvo who tried to move the Myvi backward by pushing forward against it with his car.
The Myvi driver attempted to stop the man by blaring her car horn, while one onlooker intervenes and opens the Volvo’s driver side door to make him stop.
According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Zulkefly Yahya, police had summoned both the drivers involved in the accident that happened on Friday (4 September).
BERNAMA reported that a urine test was performed on the Volvo driver and it turns out that he was positive for drugs.
“An application will be made to remand the Volvo driver for further investigation and that his department will refer the case to the public prosecutor,” said Zulkefly.
Driving while intoxicated is irresponsible and it’s no joke! You’re endangering the lives of other people, and yourself as well!
