For some people, wearing the surgical face mask can be suffocating, especially when you’re walking a lot or climbing up a flight of stairs!
We get it, we’ve been there…
But sadly, we have no other choice. Wearing a face mask when you’re outdoors is the only way to protect yourself from getting infected with COVID-19, besides getting vaccinated!

This Indonesian man, however, made headlines when he recycled a coconut shell and wore half of it as a face mask.
The 44-year-old parking attendant from Denpasar, Bali, named Nengah Budiasa, also made holes in the middle of his “face mask” so that he would not have to take off the mask to blow the whistle when he needed to manage traffic.
He was recently nabbed by Indonesian authorities for flouting the country’s COVID-19 rules and was made to do push-ups as punishment.
Budiasa used to wear the conventional surgical face masks, but he would often get reprimanded for reusing old and dirty ones, so he decided to get creative.

Kompas reported that officers from the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) said that Budiasa didn’t intend to violate the rules, but the mask he’s been using is improper because it’s not what the government recommends.
They also provided him with the correct alternative and educated him to follow health protocols accordingly.
Ahh, we hope he still keeps his coconut face mask, though! It looks pretty cool, not gonna lie.
But please don’t do this, guys and wear the proper surgical face mask, okay?
