A wedding in Pagelaran, West Java, Indonesia took the internet by storm after photos of the “bridesmaids” in unique monster costumes recently went viral.
According to Detik.com, the majority of the youths in the village are art activists, and come from an artistic background.

The bride, Puri said, the village youths, where her husband lives are cosplay artists.
The wedding, which took place on Wednesday (November 10th) gathered around 25 people who are members of the Kazelor Community, including the groom, Afandi who also donned a monster costume.
“My husband comes from a village with many cosplay artists. There are carnivals where the young people come to showcase their creativity,” said Puri.
Puri also took the chance to apologize to everyone who has seen the photos or the videos. She said that the costumes were just for fun and they have no intention of changing or damaging the existing Javanese traditions or customs.
