Over the past few days, Malaysians on Twitter have been venting their frustrations about one of the new rulings under the Movement Control Order (MCO) in some states, in which restaurants must stop operating by 8:00pm, and how food delivery services stop taking orders as early as 7:20pm.

Netizens have been trying to make sense of this, as many Malaysians only finish work around or after those timings, and they wouldn’t have time to even place an order or take-away from restaurants.

Not to mention the fact that restaurants and eateries lose a whole few hours of making money with this “food curfew”.

In one of these tweets, Twitter user @puterirajaawan insisted that people shouldn’t complain, and that they should consider ordering earlier in the day or even the day before, and just reheat their dinner.

She even thought to close her “words of wisdom” with some words of encouragement, saying, “If there’s a will, there’s a way.”

This prompted an angry @yarafaee_ to refute her comment with the preface, “Si bodoh, kau dengar sini” (Listen here, idiot).

“People don't have time to cook after getting back from work because we need to get up early for work again the next morning,” she said.

She also pointed out that there’s now only a small window for a large number of Malaysians to order their dinners before the cut-off time.

Malaysians went crazy over this tweet from January 17th, so much so that #SiBodohKauDengarSini started trending, and at the time of writing, over 66,000 tweets have used the hashtag and counting!

As it stands, the government is seeking advice from the Health Ministry (MOH) on reviewing this ruling.

You gotta love Malaysian Twitter for this kinda stuff!
