‘Not all superheroes wear capes’ but that saying is especially true for Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, our Health Director General.
Malaysians regard Datuk Dr Noor Hisham as their hero especially in the handling of Covid-19.
But what do Dr Hisham’s own children think of him?
Well, his son, Muhammad Khair Noor Hisham shared a message with us that he wrote for his dad, Dr Hisham:
Dearest Ayah,
When our friends talk about you, we can’t help but feel proud that the person they are talking about is our Ayah. The result of your hard work and all the values that you have taught us represents who you are. You have taught us to put others first, to work hard in everything we do, to be patient and to have faith.
We are very proud to have you as our Ayah and we are forever thankful for all the valuable lessons from you as our dad, our imam and our hero.
Happy Father’s Day, Ayah!
Love,
Your children
All Dr Hisham’s hardwork has made him a much-loved figure in the country.
Malaysians look forward to watch his live updates on the Covid-19 situation in the country.
The 57-year-old has been praised by many for the way he delivers the updates calmly, answers questions patiently, and provides prompt updates on his social media accounts.
And the other thing that has made Malaysians admire him is his humility, as he plays down such praises.
He also warmed our hearts, when he replied to a 9-year-old girl’s letter to him, and even signed off as 'your new friend’.
Thank you Datuk Dr Noor Hisham for all your effort and hardwork.
You have been a father figure to Malaysia in a time of crisis.
Wishing you, and all dads who have sacrificed for the nation, a very Happy Father’s Day!
