As the coronavirus pandemic continues, we’re still required to register ourselves everywhere we go using the MySejahtera app, and this process is very likely here to stay.
But an elderly man in Kluang, Johor has found a faster way than MySejahtera to check in at places - he has his very own stamp with his name and number!
80-year-old Gan Hwee Loon doesn’t own a smartphone, and so he has to fill in his details in logbooks provided.
But he has found a way around having to jot it down, and if you think about it, a stamp and a temperature check IS a faster way to check in to places!
Gan told China Press Johor that he made the stamp because of his poor eyesight, which makes it difficult for him to write things down.
He added that he didn’t want to be always asking random people to help him out, and so he decided to spend RM20 on a stamp.
“I bring it around with me all the time now, doesn't matter if it is to go eat, drink tea, or even shopping. I just need to press the chop gently on the logbook and carefully close it again. It is very convenient and time-saving,” he said.
Alternatively, you can always do a group check-in on MySejahtera, if your grandparents or children don’t have a smartphone.
