Elderly Man In Taiping Falls From His Motorcycle And Was Stranded For Almost 13 Hours!

A 70-year-old man fell off his motorcycle while he was out getting food, and got stranded in a palm oil plantation for over 12 hours.

The uncle, who lives with his family in Kampung Boyan, Taiping, Perak, went out at 6 pm on Sunday (June 13th) to buy dinner but had fallen off his motorcycle near a palm oil plantation.

According to Oriental Daily, the man’s family had rushed out to look for him after he didn’t return home after two hours and asked for help from the Aulong Taiping Perak Community Police Association.

The uncle’s daughter said that they had also tried calling his phone, guessing that her father must’ve been lost while on the highway.

The association’s chairman said that the man had called his family saying that he had fallen off his motorcycle near a palm oil plantation.

And because he did not give them his exact location, 30 members of the association had carried out a search at various palm oil plantations, however, by 3 am, the man was still not found.

The members of the association also contacted police to get an approval letter before making the search operations as the area is still under the MCO.

But thankfully, residents near the palm oil plantation found the elderly man sitting at the roadside by himself and decided to take him home so that he could charge his phone and contact his family.

The man was reunited with his family at 9 am on Monday (June 14th).

Though it can be seen that the man suffered some bruises and scratches on his arms and legs, we are glad that he is now safe at home with his family!
