Dr. Amalina Shares Tips On How You Can Study Online Without Distractions!

It is actually harder when you have to do your work at home, especially when you’re a student and you have to attend online classes and take online exams, due to the many distractions around us.

It’s hard to focus when you could use the Wi-Fi to do something else, like listening to all your favourite radio stations on the SYOK app (duh!).

UK-trained Malaysian surgeon, Dr. Amalina Che Bakri, who once made headlines after she scored 17 1As in her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exam, shared some tips on her Instagram on how you could study online effectively.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Most students have to do online learning due to COVID-19. However it is easy to get distracted. So, how can one avoid procrastination and stay focused? 1. Switch off your phone/social media. Set a screen time limit on your phone and tablets. 2. Set daily goals and long term goals. Plan a timetable and set a deadline. 3. Reward yourself and have a break after you achieve a goal (s). 4. Work with a group of friends online to motivate you, have a study buddy/group. 5. Tell your friends your goals so that they can remind you to stop procrastinating. Good luck to all students!
