Burgers. An easy to eat food item consisting of two pieces of bread and a beef patty in between. There would also sometimes be vegetables and sauces. It’s made to be eaten with your hands.
But there’s also nothing wrong in eating them with a fork and knife if you want. No one can stop you. Or can they?
A viral Twitter post by @Bebelley explained how the user was denied eating utensils from a local burger joint because they informed her that they can only provide cutleries for burgers over RM12.
Translation: I went to (name of burger place) in Setapak. Then I ordered a burger and cheezy wedges at the shop costing RM14. They didn’t provide any cutleries. How could I eat? I asked the guy, and he rudely answered ‘Sorry because we can only give cutleries for burgers costing above RM12.
Here's a rundown of what happened, according to @Bebelley:
Translation: Okay fine! Because our receipt totaled to RM49, I went back to the shop but he still said “No, cannot, because the burger itself cost RM6.” Like WTF! What kind of shop wouldn’t provide cutleries for people who want to eat? @KPDNKK please take action! I will not go to the store anymore.
If I keep going up to your counter to ask for cutleries, just give them. Then no one would be so angry. At least if you are afraid of your spoons running out, plastic ones are also fine. I had no mood to eat the stupid burger anymore. It’s not even that good.
The most annoying part! The guy even showed me the area to wash my hands! This means that we eat a RM6 burger with our hands, and a RM12 burger with cutleries…

In two days, the tweets have garnered almost 6000 retweets, with plenty of replies from netizens regarding the same shop.
Translation: If it was me, I’d send the burger back, then I’d tell them to eat it themselves.
It’s silly! Stingy with spoons and forks? These items are basic for a shop that sells food…
One time I went here with a friend, and they forgot my order. I asked them why it was so late, and they were playing PUBG. They were also very rude. Don’t need to go to the shop.

Twitter user @farhanhash, friend of @Bebelley, posted a detailed story of what exactly happened.
There have been no official statements from the burger store yet.
However, there have been unofficial replies from the owner’s cousin.
The store also posted a vague Instagram story on their official Instagram page.
Translation: Praise God, why so many more followers today? Free marketing?
