A businessman from West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas District got himself a customised gold mask worth Rs 5.70 lakhs, which is around RM2,374,335.
The mask is made by a jeweller named Chandan Das who hailed from the town of Budge Budge in Bengal’s South 24 Parganas District. The goldsmith claims to specialise in making customised gold designer items.
According to DNA India, the gold mask was created in just 15 days as per the jeweller.
During the Gurga Puja celebrations last month, the businessman was seen flaunting his customised gold face mask, which weighs 108 grams - wearing it to the pandals but had to take it off due to the curiosity of the people around.
Speaking to Bengali Daily, the businessman said that he has fondness of jewellery due to which he wears multiple gold chains on his neck and several rings on both hands along with a bracelet on one of his wrists.
Photos of the face mask have since made their way on social media and received mixed reactions from the public.
