Malaysians who recently updated their MySejahtera contact tracing app may have noticed something unusual on their profile page: A 'Verified' badge with a blue tick on it.
Of course, for the rest of us, this is a big deal. It's not every day that ne of our accounts is verified, especially with a gleaming blue tick. Isn't that when you realize you've made it in life?

Ordinary Malaysians took to social media to express their delight at their newfound "celebrity" status.
The Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) first provided no explanation for the new verification feature, prompting many people to brag about their "overnight ahievements."
One person tweeted: “For the very first time ever, I’m verified on an app. I just didn’t expect it to be MySejahtera.”
While another person simply said: “Don’t touch me, I’m famous,” followed by a screenshot of his verified MySejahtera account.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) finally clarifies the reason for MySejahtera's new feature which includes the blue 'Verified' badge on Tuesday (March 22nd).
People with confirmed MySejahtera accounts, according to MOH, have full access to the app's functions. This includes your immunization history as well as your vaccination certificate.
However, this also means that your personal information (name and IC number) is locked in, and you won't be able to change it afterward.
Is this how it feels to be “famous?”
