A video of a firefighter trying to save a cat in Miri, Sarawak recently went viral online.

In a video shared by the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (Bomba) Sarawak shows firefighter, Mohamad Ainli Akhbar trying to resuscitate the poor cat. 

The cat was reportedly trapped in a burning building, and fortunately its owners were able to bring the cat out.

After it was brought out, Ainli quickly jumped into action and immediately tried to revive the weak cat using CPR. 

There were times where it looked like the cat would pull through but unfortunately, after 30 minutes of trying, the cat passed due to smoke inhalation.

Oh no, this broke our hearts!

Netizens took to the comment section to praise Mohamad Ainli’s efforts as he already did what he could to save the poor kitty. 

Many also thanked him for his efforts and wished him all the best.

Miri, 21 Januari 2022 PB Mohamad Ainli Akhbar dari Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Lopeng berusaha -PRO-menyelamatkan seekor kucing yg dikeluarkan semasa kebakaran di Miri, Sarawak tengah hari tadi. Kucing tersebut dipercayai terperangkap berjaya dikeluarkan oleh pemilik rumah, dan terus cuba diselamatkan-PRO- oleh Ainli. Walubagaimanapun, setelah usah selama hampir 30 minit, kucing tersebut tidak dapat diselematkan kerana terhidu asap yang terlalu tebal. Terima kasih hero bomba. -Unit Perhubungan Awam
