His son, Hakiem Tajudin, shared the remarkable journey on TikTok, where viewers witnessed the extraordinary determination of Tajudin Mustaffa—affectionately nicknamed TriHulk. The video, which has since gone viral, showcases Tajudin conquering the gruelling 200km course, which includes swimming, cycling, and running, all while sporting a physique that defies his age.
In the video’s caption, Hakiem wrote, "If there's one thing you’ve taught me, it's to never give up on your dreams. Age is truly just a number." These words resonated with many, as Tajudin started his challenge with a 3.9km swim at Pantai Kok, followed by a demanding 180km cycle around the island. He finished with a 42km run, crossing the finish line after an impressive 15 hours and 54 minutes.
A touching moment captured in the video shows Hakiem running alongside his father for the final 3km, sharing in the triumph of the moment. Since it was posted, the video has garnered over 2.7 million views on TikTok, with many inspired by Tajudin’s unwavering spirit and perseverance.
Some viewers compared his physique and endurance to that of Yoshihiro Akiyama, a 49-year-old Japanese mixed martial artist, known by his Korean name Choo Sung-hoon, who is renowned for his impressive strength.
Tajudin’s story stands as a testament to the idea that it’s never too late to achieve your goals and push yourself beyond your limits, regardless of age.
