Two teenagers have been given community service of cleaning toilets for 100 hours over six months as punishment for causing trouble by setting fire to a public restroom in Bandar Puncak Alam last year.
Magistrate Siti Hajar Ali also required them to maintain good behavior for two years and report to the nearest police station once a month during that time. They are not allowed to be out without their parents between 8 pm and 6 am, and they must attend a workshop run by the Department of Social Welfare.

The two teenagers, both 16 years old and still in school, were charged with setting fire to a public restroom at a futsal court in Bandar Puncak Alam on August 28, 2022, at 2:47 pm. This act is against the law and carries a possible prison sentence of up to 20 years and a fine.
During the court proceedings, a report on the boys' behavior and two recommendations for good behavior were presented by a representative from the Department of Social Welfare. Members of the public in the courtroom also expressed their disapproval of the boys' actions, which caused damage to public property and tragically led to the death of another teenager, Muhammad Damin Mikhail Kansol.
The deputy public prosecutor requested a suitable punishment for the two accused due to the incident's impact on public interest. A lawyer representing the victim's family was also present, but the two accused did not have legal representation.
Last year, a fire occurred in a public restroom in Bandar Puncak Alam, resulting in the tragic death of 16-year-old Muhammad Damin Mikhail Kansol, caused by a prank conducted by his two friends.
