Srisong, known for her unwavering commitment to her job, found herself facing an unexpected health scare while on duty. The catalyst? The notorious "king of fruits," durian, which a passenger had brought aboard the public transport vehicle. Little did anyone know that this seemingly ordinary event would soon take an extraordinary turn.

Srisong, a person with a severe durian allergy, used her platform on Facebook to recount the ordeal. She shared how, upon spotting the thorny fruit, she immediately felt a tightening in her chest and struggled to breathe. The bus conductor's health deteriorated rapidly, and she eventually fainted, collapsing onto the bus seats.

However, what happened next warmed the hearts of all who witnessed it. Two compassionate individuals on the bus rushed to her aid. One of them, with a caring gesture, began fanning her with a cloth to provide comfort and relief. Their swift and selfless actions not only showcased the power of empathy but also demonstrated the tight-knit bond that can form between strangers in times of need.

The incident resulted in a delay to the bus's schedule as Srisong was promptly transported to the hospital. Fortunately, her health gradually improved, and she made a remarkable recovery. In a follow-up post on Facebook, she expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of well-wishes and reassured her concerned friends and followers that she was back to work and feeling much better.

This heartwarming story also sheds light on a unique aspect of Thai culture. In Thailand, the durian is renowned for its pungent aroma, to the point where it is banned on public transport. Srisong used her experience to remind fellow public transport users in her country about the importance of adhering to this regulation. She stressed, "When you bring durian onto the bus, it's not just you who doesn't get to continue (the journey), but many others might have to return home late because of you."

In an interview with the Bangkok-based publication Thairath, Srisong revealed the cause of her adverse allergic reaction. Even though the passenger who brought the durian had disembarked, the lingering and potent odour of the fruit still permeated the bus, ultimately leading to her fainting spell.

In the end, this heartwarming incident serves as a testament to the resilience and kindness of individuals like Kussam Srisong, who, in the face of adversity, found themselves surrounded by the support and compassion of their community.

It's a reminder that even in unexpected and challenging moments, the human spirit shines brightly, illuminating the path to recovery and unity.
