A five-year-old boy was stung to death by wasps in Kampung Tok Jembal in Kuala Terengganu on Sunday (June 26th).
The boy, Eidrish was stung 60 times when playing at the nearby playground with his two sisters. He died while getting treatment at a hospital five hours later.
According to FMT, his father, Khalid Omar said he heard screaming from one of his daughters, “I immediately ran outside and saw Eidrish lying on the ground with wasps covering his whole body.”

He then carried his son into the house, while he was still alive but very, very weak.
“He was not screaming or crying,” said Khalid.
Khalid and his two other children were also stung by the wasps. Her daughter, Adelya was stung twice and is receiving intensive care treatment at the hospital while Aiyris received outpatient treatment.
Khalid said he was stung 20 times and was supposed to be warded, but he had to go home to arrange his son’s funeral.
This broke our hearts! We’re so sorry for your loss, Khalid. Our sincerest condolences for you at this time.
