Sabah recorded 214 new COVID-19 cases on Monday (22 August).
According to its Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Seri Masidi Majnun said 9.64% out of 2,906 samples were tested positive.
“However, there is no significant change from Sunday (21 August). Four districts record double-digit infections which includes Kota Kinabalu, 64 cases; Tawau, 32 cases; Tuaran, 22 cases; and Penampang, 11 cases,” he added.

Meanwhile Kalabakan, Kinabatangan, Pitas, Semporna and Tongod recorded zero COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. Wah, that’s good news!
He added that 209 out of the 214 cases fall under Category 1 and Category 2, while Category 3 and Category 4 each have two cases, and Category 5 has one case.
No deaths were reported yesterday.
