The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department took to its official Facebook page to disclose that a 15-year-old Malaysian boy was accidentally left behind by his family at the petrol station while they went on with their journey without realizing that he wasn’t inside any of their vehicles.

Fortunately, two police officers, Insp Muhamad Hafizd and L/KPL Firzad Shamir, found the boy all by himself while patrolling the area. The officers quickly sprang into action and managed to track down the boy’s parents, notifying them that they had left their son behind at Tapah R&R.

Both officers then transported the teen via a PDRM patrol vehicle to the Tapah toll plaza, where he was safely reunited with his family.

The family expressed their gratitude towards the officers for finding and reuniting their son with them.

In the comments section of the post, the father of the teen clarified that his son was travelling in his aunt’s car and that the incident occurred when the family stopped at the R&R to buy some drinks.

The teen left the vehicle without notifying the family because he was experiencing a stomach ache and rushed to the restroom. His aunt didn’t notice his disappearance and left him behind, possibly thinking that the teen had gone to the other vehicle instead.

The father was grateful to both police officers for their assistance in locating and bringing his son back to safety.

He also emphasized the importance of being vigilant of the whereabouts of their children and ensuring their safety. The officers' kind and swift response ensured that the teen was reunited with his family without any harm.
