Leopard Enters Elderly Couple’s Home While Chasing Cat In Pahang, Leaves Bedridden Woman In Scratches

A man and his wife went through a terrifying experience when a clouded leopard entered their house in Kampung Sentang Pagar Sasak, Kuala Lipis on Friday (25 November).

According to BERNAMA, Supt. Ali Mohd Noor, the head of the Lipis District Police said that the incident was reported to the police at around 6:30 pm.

He reported that the 58-year-old woman who had a stroke was lying on a bed, and was in the home with her husband, a 55-year-old man, when the leopard entered through the front door while chasing a cat. 

In a statement, Ali also said that despite his efforts to scare away the leopard, it jumped onto the bed and scratched the woman’s brow. 

He added that the woman had a small cut on the brow and was treated by health personnel from the Padang Tengku Clinic.

The tiger then went under the couple's house and was surrounded by villagers pending the arrival of the Wildlife and National Parks Department (PERHILITAN), which arrived at 8 pm and took the animal away.
