What started as a routine parcel delivery turned into a troubling discovery for TikTok user OnaIsmail, after she found her package mysteriously empty. Determined to uncover what had happened, she reviewed the CCTV footage at her workplace in Hata Square, Ampang, only to stumble upon an unsettling scene.

The footage revealed two young children removing the parcel from her office letterbox and handing it to a woman waiting in the parking lot – their mother. The children could be seen returning the now-empty package to the letterbox after tearing it open and taking its contents.
Frustrated by the incident, OnaIsmail took to TikTok to share her experience. “It makes me so angry to see them doing this. It really hurts my heart. They opened the parcel right there, and all I got back was the plastic packaging,” she wrote in her post.
In the comments section, OnaIsmail explained that she had managed to track down the woman involved, who turned out to be a Myanmar national. Initially, the mother denied any wrongdoing. However, upon being shown the CCTV footage, she was left with no choice but to admit her actions.
“I contacted her to ask for compensation. At first, she refused to acknowledge it. But when I showed her the video, she panicked because her face was clearly visible,” OnaIsmail said.
The stolen item in question? A bottle of perfume that OnaIsmail had recently purchased. To add insult to injury, the woman had already used the perfume.
“She ended up enjoying my perfume – it smells amazing, I must admit. Unfortunately, good perfume can’t cover up bad behaviour,” OnaIsmail remarked wryly.
The incident has sparked concerns among netizens, with many pointing out that missing parcels have become a recurring issue in the Hata Square area. For OnaIsmail and others, the discovery serves as both a warning and a reminder to remain vigilant about their deliveries.
