A father in Perak has decided to set up camp at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital parking lot in Ipoh, Perak, to be closer to his warded son.

The father, Adi Saifullizam shared some photos in the Family Camping Malaysia group showing his car with a tent attached at the back.

The 40-year-old father of three told the New Straits Times that he has been camping out in the hospital parking lot since Friday, after his eight-year-old son, Muhammad Afeef Mikhail, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Afeef at first experienced swelling between his eyes and spine and was eventually taken in for a CT scan, which revealed a tumor.

He was admitted and underwent surgery to have cell samples taken for further testing, "We can only hope for the best and see if the tumor is aggressive or not.

"My wife is with him in the ward. But I can't stand being too far apart. If anything happens, at least I'll be there,” said Adi.
