“Dead” Author Comes Back To Life Two Years Later After Allegedly Faking Her Own Death

Everyone is highly confused by the recent announcement of a Tennessee romance author's return to writing after her own daughter tragically declared her death to friends and fans two years ago.

According to Oddity Central, friends and acquaintances of Susan Meachen, a self-published romantic fiction author, were stunned to learn that she had committed suicide as a result of internet harassment in September 2020.

Someone on Facebook, posing as her daughter broke the heartbreaking news, prompting a flood of tributes from people who had known and collaborated with her.

Meachen's Facebook profile appeared to have been used by her family for the couple of years that followed to post tributes to the author, motivational content, and book promotions. Some allegedly purchased her work to help her grieving family.

However, a strange incident happened a few days ago when Susan Meachen's identity was claimed by someone posting on Facebook that she wasn't actually dead and that she was returning to writing.

Samantha A. Cole, a fellow author and member of a tight-knit community of freelance writers called The Ward, said: “Intentionally misleading someone who is mourning is ‘beyond crazy,’ whether it was Susan herself or her daughter who made the comments.

"Now I'm scared of anyone I'm friends with on Facebook but have never met in person, and that's really terrible," she said.

Major news outlets like CNN, the BBC, or USA Today have covered her bizarre story, which is still a mystery to this day.

Is it Meachen who wrote on her Facebook account? And if so, why did she fake her death and then come back two years later?

What do you guys think?
