Police believed that she had bought the shark illegally.
“Vicious animal, but the meat is very tender,” she said in the video.
Tizi has over eight million followers on the Chinese streaming site, Douyin where she is seen unwrapping the shark meat and even lying down next to it to show its size in comparison to her.
In the video, the shark is then sliced in half before its tail is barbecued and its head boiled in a spicy broth. Oh no, the poor thing!
The video that was posted on July 14th has since gone viral in China. She said in the video that the shark was “edible” and is “bred in captivity,” and even shared the food with local villagers who all raved about its taste.

Tizi has since taken down the video following the backlash.
How irresponsible! Not just anyone can catch a great white shark and in fact, great whites are illegal to catch without a permit, and when one is hooked, it’s supposed to be released as soon as possible!
