On January 1st, DBKL expressed disappointment in Malaysians for leaving Kuala Lumpur in a messy state following New Year's celebrations, referring to it as a manifestation of a “third-world mentality.”
Alam Flora took to TikTok to highlight the substantial cleanup effort required, revealing that a significant 3.06 tonnes of rubbish had accumulated in Kuala Lumpur.
The cleanup operation, executed by 128 Alam Flora workers, commenced at midnight and covered key areas such as KLCC, Bukit Bintang, and Dataran Merdeka.
In a video shared by Alam Flora, their dedicated staff was depicted using large bins to gather litter from streets and even within bushes.
The meticulous effort extended to sweeping roads to collect tiny remnants of confetti and small fragments of trash.
