Covid-19 vaccine recipients who have accepted the appointment date for vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Plan must be present on that day.
You will be given an option prior to that to accept or decline the date via the MySejahtera app. Notifications will be sent out at least 14 days before the appointment.
But what if you accept and then forget? Fret, not. They’ve got you covered. Reminders will be sent out via SMS and phone call three days before the appointment and also the day before. So, there should be no reason for this to slip your mind.
Why is attendance compulsory? This is because the vaccination process has been planned to a tee, so if you skip your appointment, it disrupts the schedule for others as well.
Not only that, it is to avoid wastage because the vaccines cannot be returned to storage once they are taken out of the fridge. The second phase of the vaccination programme will start on April 19 and will cover those above 60, patients with co-morbidities as well as people with disabilities.
It will kick off in Kedah, Melaka, Pahang, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Labuan before it starts a few days later in other states.
