Out of all social media platforms, Instagram seems to be a huge favourite these days. Where else would we post our vain selfie shots (and stalk our crushes)?
The introduction of Instagram’s new “dark mode” update made many people pretty excited. Yay, less strain on your eyes when you stalk that hot guy for hours.
One feature that got users less than excited, however, is the removal of the “Following” tab on Instagram, which basically updated followers on the activities of those they were following.

This feature has long served couples as a stalking tool of sorts (it’s also probably the source of many arguments). Instagram’s head of product, Vishal Shah, told Buzzfeed that the feature was not often used and the company believes that many are unaware of its existence.
“People didn’t always know that their activity is surfacing. So, you have a case where it’s not serving the use case you built it for, but it’s also causing people to be surprised when their activity is showing up,” Shah added.
While this may have made stalking much more difficult, we believe there’s a simple solution - trust your partner, or just be honest to them!
